ABOUT US / Objectives

The Human Resources Observatory of the Andalusian Tourist Industry, currently headquartered in the facilities of the "Andalusian Centre for Integral Training in the Leisure Industry", CIO Mijas, was created by initiative of the Labour Department of the Junta de Andalucía (Regional Government of Andalusia), and under the auspices of the general collaboration agreement signed between the Confederation of Andalusian Businessmen (Confederación de Empresarios de Andalucía) and the trade unions Unión General de Trabajadores de Andalucía- UGT and Confederación Sindical de Comisiones Obreras de Andalucía- CCOO.

The goal of the Observatory is to meet the necessities of the tourist industry in the employment and training areas, using a tool that can analyse and identify labour offer and demand in the Andalusian tourist sector, as well as its situation and training necessities, while at the same gathering the necessary information to propose specific actions and strategies in the field of Human Resources.

The scope of our work

The activities of the Observatory fall within the three following fields:

  1. STUDY of the labour and training features of Human Resources in the sector.
  2. ANALYSIS of the information, so it can be communicated and shared by all interested parties.
  3. PROPOSALS to define courses of action and develop plans and objectives.

  • Strategic Principle: EMPLOYMENT
  • Strategic Principle: TRAINING
